I’ve been drawn to history, antiques and vintage treasures all my life. As an artist, I love the texture, patina and signs of wear that hint at the lives of those objects.
Like many artists, I have always created artwork in whatever form fit my life at the time. And every venture added to my artistic repertoire. But I have fallen in love with oil painting!
As a graphic artist I honed the creative discipline to communicate meaningful ideas and I have enjoyed that work thoroughly. Now, with oil painting, communication is a personal interpretation of relationships within the composition: light, color, form, and atmosphere.
While my paintings feature ordinary objects and intimate interiors, I strive to tell their story and celebrate their emotional connection to our lives. The meaning and beauty of those relationships is up to the viewer.
Enjoy!

Trompe l’ Oeil artists also make use of shadows to suggest depth as well as scale and size of objects. This exhibition includes noted Trompe l ’Oeil painters as well as young and upcoming artists; artists who challenge and inspire the viewer, artists who have a sense of humor, who use nostalgia and tongue-in-cheek references."
