Not actual ghosts, perhaps, but fall gourds in a variety of white-grey-green tones on a barn board in a medium grey-brown wood frame that beautifully offsets the natural wood colors in this painting. I'm so grateful for the longevity of gourds because this painting was started with great intentions but life intervenes and it took a month to complete! Fortunately gourds are wonderfully patient models that endure... and endure!
